Staff positions for The Healing Forest Institute, Inc include certified teachers, experienced camp counselors, health professionals and program specialists in wellness, recreation, crafts and the creative arts. Internships include college students and junior staff who were former campers from our program. All staff members live with and supervise a small group of participants. You will be expected to use your educational expertise and skills as teaching tools for the girls. All staff are engaged in teaching or assisting in leading an assigned workshop, or an approved workshop of your choice. In this way, you are able to hone your skills and gain professional development experience. Staff and students are immersed in daily fun-filled adventures, in a small community of shared learning, where the girls strengthen their social and academic confidence in a caring environment.

The Healing Forest Institute, Inc follows best practices for hiring against standards set by the American Camp Association. All staff must have references, and a background clearance as part of the application and hiring process. The Summer Travel Adventure Programs are intentionally small to maintain a high staff to student ratio.
Applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors. A face to face interview is required. We accept resumes and applications for the following positions on a rolling basis. Teachers (Elementary - High School), Camp Counselors/Interns (College Students) and Program Specialists.
